Receive an in-depth exploration of immune health and autoimmunity, including the basics of autoimmune conditions, root causes, and functional testing options to educate and support clients. Students will learn strategies to address immune dysregulation, including therapeutics for gut health, natural immune modulation, and interventions for spike protein-induced conditions such as COVID, long-haul symptoms, and vaccine injuries. Resources include detailed guides on organic acid testing, autoimmune resources, client wellness plans, and tools to enhance client education and care.

This module focuses on understanding toxicity, detoxification, and mitochondrial health to support clients dealing with chronic conditions. Students will explore environmental toxins, heavy metals, and the role of the liver in detoxification, along with strategies for gentle detox and supplementation. Topics include chronic fatigue syndrome, mitochondrial dysfunction, mold and mycotoxin-related illnesses, and a functional approach to testing and interventions. Resources include wellness plan templates, testing guides, and research on the health impacts of toxins and heavy metals.

This module explores the profound connection between faith, health and spiritual and religious practices.. Participants will review scientifically validated benefits of spiritual practices, including increased cortical thickness, reduced suicide risk, and remarkable healing outcomes linked to prayer. Near-death experience studies, the complexity of life, and DNA as evidence for intelligent design are also discussed.

Within this module, optional biblical and Christian-based content is offered as an elective.

The Functional Medicine Business Mastery module will equip you with essential skills to build and grow a thriving functional medicine practice. Topics include business formation, pricing, client enrollment strategies, and effective networking. Students will also learn to craft a strong marketing strategy by identifying their ideal client, mastering discovery calls, and leveraging social media and referrals. Comprehensive resources, including pricing guides, client enrollment templates, and marketing planners, provide practical tools for success.

In this module, you will gain an understanding of how to work with a client from start to finish through a series of video examples. At the end of the module, you will be able to identify strategies for performing discovery calls, learn how to perform client assessments and lab reviews and understand how to utilize your practice management forms for new client intake.

In this module, you will receive an overview of practice management forms and templates then learn how to upload them into your practice management software, and understand how to utilize practice forms and templates with your clients.

In this module, you will gain an understanding of how to collaborate with your client’s medical team, receive an overview of how to write letters to patient providers requesting medical treatment and collaboration. Explore a variety of physician letter templates, and how to use them in your practice.

Meet the FNA Founder

Melissa Schreibfeder, BSN, RN, BC-FMP is a registered nurse, board-certified functional medicine practitioner, nurse educator, approved provider of continuing nursing education #50-33409 and public speaker dedicated to advancing the field of functional nursing.

A graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Melissa has pursued extensive continuing education in functional medicine and holds board certification as a Functional Medicine Practitioner. After overcoming her own complex health challenges, she built a successful functional medicine practice which ultimately led her to establish Functional Nurse Academy.

As an experienced nurse educator and public speaker, Melissa has provided functional medicine–based education to more than 5,000 nurses through conferences, summits, professional trainings, and educational events. More than 700 nurses have enrolled in Functional Nurse Academy's comprehensive functional medicine and business mentorship program, establishing FNA as the nations leading functional nursing program available to LPNs, RNs and NPs.

Melissa is also a devoted Christian and is deeply committed to advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ through service and humanitarian outreach.
